When work is carried out near overhead line equipment, our staff are trained to act as Arbeitsverantwortliche – persons responsible for the work – in accordance with the relevant regulations, helping to ensure safety throughout construction.

Our Bauüberwacher Bahn are qualified as Bahnerder – authorised railway earthing personnel – for:

• 15 kV overhead line equipment
• 1.2 kV conductor rail systems on the Hamburg S-Bahn

Our rail specialists are qualified as Bauüberwacher Bahn and Sicherungsüberwacher and complete the required annual FIT training courses. We are qualified to provide services in the following areas:

• T1 – Bahnbetrieb (railway operations) (046275)
• T2 – Schwerpunkteinsatzgebiet Fahrbahn (track) (046276)

Assessing the operational safety of switches, crossings, rail expansion devices and wheel-chock ejectors requires measurement data to be recorded, documented and evaluated. Our Bauüberwacher Bahn hold the required qualification for:

• Computer-assisted inspection in accordance with Ril 821.2005

Tamping and lining work is required for track renewals and new track construction, as well as for preparatory works associated with passenger facilities.

Construction supervision therefore requires the qualification to assess MKS measurement records in accordance with Ril 824.8010.

Our Bauüberwacher Bahn hold the relevant certification.

Our Bauüberwacher Bahn also hold the additional Schaltantragsteller qualification – authorising them to submit switching requests – for:

• 15 kV overhead line equipment

Under the relevant German state building regulations, clients are required to appoint a suitably qualified designer for projects that require – and in certain cases do not require – building approval. This designer must hold Bauvorlageberechtigung, the legal authorisation to prepare and submit building documentation.

Our engineers and architects meet these requirements and hold the relevant authorisations.

Beratender Ingenieur – Consulting Engineer – is a legally protected professional title in Germany.

A Beratender Ingenieur works independently and on their own professional responsibility. Registration on the relevant state list requires, among other criteria, at least three years of professional experience.

In the interests of consumer protection, the role also represents the separation of independent design and engineering services from the execution of technical projects.

The official list of Beratende Ingenieure in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is maintained by the relevant Chamber of Engineers.

At ai Consult GmbH, Managing Director Marc Hackmann and freelance professionals working with the company hold the protected title Beratender Ingenieur.

SiGeKo is the German abbreviation for the Safety and Health Coordinator appointed under the German Construction Site Ordinance (Baustellenverordnung – BaustellV).

The ordinance requires clients to implement measures protecting the health and safety of everyone affected by construction work. This includes people working on site, people passing through the construction area and those who will later maintain the completed structure.

Under certain project conditions, the client must appoint a suitably qualified SiGeKo. Their responsibilities extend from the design and planning stage through to completion.

We provide SiGeKo services through specially trained members of our team.
